STARS Program
We are excited to offer our STARS program!
Our flagship STARS (Social Interactions, Teamwork, Adaptability, Respect and Self-confidence) program is carefully designed to meet each individual where they are and to build skills and confidence through a progression of levels. Each level in our 10-level progression focusses on specific sociability skills and can be mastered typically through 10 sessions of sociability coaching with one of our expert coaches.
Participants will engage in role-playing, discussions, and practical exercise to hone their abilities. The ultimate goal is to develop each individual’s abilities to interact positively, build empathy, and exhibit leadership in social contexts.
Our semesters are flexible and can be tailored to meet the needs of each individual. Throughout a semester parents can book check-in sessions with one of our Supervisors to discuss their child’s progress.
STARS Levels
Level1 – Friendly Faces
Participants focus on fundamental social behaviors like greeting others warmly, using polite words, and recognizing basic emotions. Through structured coaching, they begin building confidence and patience in interactions.
Level 2 – Connection Builders
Building on the basics, participants learn to start, maintain, and end conversations with ease. They practice active listening, ask engaging questions, and develop meaningful social connections.
Level 3 – Social Collaborators
At this stage, participants improve teamwork and empathy by contributing ideas, respecting differing opinions, and resolving minor conflicts. They explore ways to give compliments and strengthen positive relationships.
Level 4 – Collaboration Creators
Participants take collaboration to the next level through cooperative activities, offering help, and sharing resources. They practice handling minor conflicts with fairness and develop versatility by taking on different roles.
Level 5 – Team Leaders
Graduating to leadership roles, participants demonstrate empathy, manage minor conflicts, and practice emotional support. They build skills in guiding groups and setting a positive example during social interactions.
Level 6 – Leadership Legends
This level refines leadership skills with a focus on organizing discussions, providing feedback, and encouraging group participation. Participants take initiative and learn to lead with accountability and resilience.
Level 7 – Friendship Facilitators
Participants strengthen their abilities to maintain long-term friendships, resolve conflicts independently, and mentor peers. They lead by example, celebrate others’ achievements, and show resilience in social challenges.
Level 8 – Communication Masters
Advanced communication skills are the focus here, including clear expression, active listening, and adapting communication styles to different audiences. Participants help quieter peers engage and foster inclusive conversations.
Level 9 – Social Scholars
Participants exhibit leadership by facilitating group discussions, mentoring others, and navigating complex social scenarios. They reflect on their personal growth and plan future goals in their social development journey.
Level 10 – Sociability Stars
Graduates master advanced sociability, demonstrating exceptional empathy and emotional intelligence. They confidently lead large group events, mentor others, and implement social initiatives that benefit their communities.
Past Level 10 - Graduates
At the end of each semester, parents receive a detailed STARs Progress Report that provides comments about session interactions, progress toward goals, skills learned, observations of gains in confidence and self-esteem, and details on advancement to the next exciting level.
